The venue is about 3 miles south of Stansted airport with its excellent transport facilities – by coach, by rail or by air. Taxis can be ordered from the front of the Arrivals Hall at the eastern (rightmost when you look at it) end of the terminal building. There is no public transport to Great Canfield itself.

By Car:

From South – Use M11 up to Junction 8, taking first slip road up onto the roundabout (not A120, second slip to airport). Go over the M11 on the roundabout and take the second exit onto the B1256, Takeley and Little Canfield. **** Carry on down this road for about 2 miles being careful with the speed cameras! Turn right at the Four Ashes Pub and traffic lights onto B183 signposted to Hatfield Heath and Hatfield Broadoak. Carry on down this road for about ¾ mile until you see a left sign to Great Canfield and High Roding. Then go down this road until you see another left turn to Great Canfield and High Roding. Travel down this lane for about 1.75 miles until you go past the Cricket Field. Marsh Farm Raod is the next right turn a few hundred metres further down the road. The village hall is just on the left at the junction.

From the North – Use M11 soutwards and come off at Junction 8 taking the left slip road up onto the roundabout. Take the second exit onto the B1256, Takeley, then follow the south route shown above from ****

From the East – Assuming you are on the A120 leave at the first exit for Great Dunmow. Drive under the A120, across the small roundabout towards Dunmow and then take the next left. Travel up this road past a motorbike showroom and garages and then take the left turn towards High Roding and Ongar onto the B184. Go down this road for about 2 miles until you see a right turn to Bacon End and Great Canfield. Go down this lane, staying left at the T-junction and onwards to Great Canfield. Go past Ashfields Polo and Carriage Club on your right and Marsh Farm Road is the next left a few hundred yards on.

Parking:

There is some parking next to the hall and on the roadside opposite. If this is full you can park down Marsh Farm Road but please do not park on the verge directly outside the residential properties on the left, just past the hall – further down is fine, providing you are not blocking the road.
