The Cause

Moaning and negativity are a result of our fundamental beliefs about the world and ourselves. If we believe that things will get worse then that is exactly what we experience. We may have low self-esteem and feel that we are inadequate or are failures. Such feelings usually stem from misunderstandings in our childhoods where we were frightened by a situation and lost faith in our own abilities and gifts. These feelings project themselves outwards into our relationships and become a negative spiral in our lives.

The Way Through

Moaning & negativity in a Relationship

To overcome negativity in yourself of your partner you must first recognise that it is a mistake - as a child you came into the world full of promise and positivity and it was only through the ups and downs of life that you have turned away from this. The good news is that the positive aspects lie within you if you choose to reveal them.

Begin to recognise the positive aspects in your relationship and your world and accentuate these as much has possible. As you do this, your habits will change and you will experience more success - just as negativity is a vicious downward cycle, so positivity is an upward cycle.

Try visualising the joy and connection in your relationship - appreciate your partner for all their gifts and you will be surprised how quickly things will get better.
